چکیده

Several studies have evaluated the interest of inflammatory markers as prognostic indicators for pancreatic cancer. The aim this work was to investigate utility lymphocyte/monocyte ratio (LMR) a factor in Tunisian advanced This is retrospective study including 31 patients diagnosed and treated locally or metastatic cancer, at medical oncology department Habib Bourguiba university hospital Sfax, between 2011 2017. LMR calculated by using equation: = absolute lymphocyte count/absolute monocyte ratio. Value cutoffs were adopted discriminate follows: low < 4.6 high LMR≥4.6. median age our 60 years (36 -77). A male predominance observed (61%). average consultation time 2.7 months, most common reason abdominal pain (87%) followed onset jaundice (29%). Nine had performance status (PS) ≥2. On imaging, tumor size estimated 4.5 cm. presence metastases 16 (51.6%). Chemotherapy indicated 19 patients, neoadjuvant situation (38%) 51% case disease. found 9 mean overall survival 7 months. Survival 1 2 12.9% 3.2% respectively. associated with worse (OS) year (3.2% vs 13%, p =0.002). other poor factors PS ≥2, CA19-9 level stage IV (p=0.001, p=0.021 p=0.027 respectively). findings from suggest that OS addition prognosis factors.

Prognostic value of fibrosis ratio in metastatic lymph nodes of node-positive advanced gastric cancer

Lymph node metastasis plays a crucial role in predicting prognosis in advanced gastric cancer (AGC). In the present study, we formulated a fibrosis ratio (FR), defined as the number of metastatic lymph nodes with fibrosis divided by the total number of lymph nodes, and sought to determine whether it can be used to predict the prognosis of patients with AGC and improve on existing node staging. ...

Prognostic value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio in breast cancer

Inflammation is an essential component of pathogenesis and progression of cancer. A high neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is considered as a prognostic indicator for breast cancer. This meta-analysis was conducted to establish the overall accuracy of the NLR test in the diagnosis of breast cancer. A comprehensive search of the literature was conducted by using PubMed, Web of Science and Chi...
